WattFlow — Privacy Policy

The short version
WattFlow collects no data automatically. None. The one
exception is a report you choose to send yourself, described below.
Details
- WattFlow reads battery status (voltage, current, level, temperature)
from the Android system to display charging power. These readings stay
on your device.
- Charge history is stored in a local database on your device only. It is
never uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
- WattFlow has no ads, no analytics, and no tracking SDKs. Nothing about
you or your device leaves your device automatically.
- The Google Play version uses Google Play Billing to process the optional
Pro purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; WattFlow never
sees your payment details. See

Reporting an inaccurate reading (opt-in, user-initiated)
Settings has a "Report an inaccurate reading" option for the rare case
where a charging number looks wrong. Nothing is sent automatically — tapping
it only opens a pre-filled page (a GitHub issue form, or your email app) that
you review, edit, and send yourself. Nothing leaves your device unless you
choose to submit it.
The prefilled data is not tied to any account or persistent identifier and
is not used to identify you as an individual — it exists only to help judge
whether a charging reading is accurate. It may include:
- Your device's manufacturer, model, and codename
- Android version and WattFlow's own version
- The battery's raw charge-counter value and WattFlow's live watts/voltage/
current/battery-percent reading at the time
- Anything you optionally choose to type in yourself: an independent USB
power-meter reading, your charger's rated wattage and whether it's the
phone's original charger, cable rating, wired vs. wireless, screen
state while charging, thermal notes, your battery's rated capacity, a
Battery Health Trend percentage from the app, and whether the issue is
reproducible
Every field past device/Android/app-version is optional — send as little
or as much as you're comfortable with, and delete anything before sending.
GitHub issues are public. If you use the GitHub option,
anything in the form (plus your GitHub username) is visible to anyone. Use
the Email option instead if you'd rather report privately — that goes only
to the developer's inbox.
